Shiva Keshava Puja

The sacred month of Karthika Masam is a divine period that holds immense significance for devotees of both Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu (Keshava). It is the time when the energies of devotion, light, and transformation reach their peak. This year, on Tuesday, 18th November 2025, an extremely rare and spiritually powerful combination takes place. The day of Swathi Nakshatram, the birth star of Lord Narasimha Swamy, coincides with Masa Shivaratri, the most auspicious day for Lord Shiva’s worship.

This divine alignment is believed to be highly sacred and powerful. Performing puja to both Shiva and Keshava on this same day brings immense spiritual upliftment, good health, prosperity, and liberation from past karmas. Devotees are encouraged to participate in these sacred rituals to receive blessings that purify the soul and balance both spiritual and worldly aspects of life.

Auspicious Rituals of the Day

On this spiritually charged day, three major pujas will be conducted with complete Vedic traditions by experienced priests:

Rituals and Practices of Shiva Keshava Puja

1. Maha Rudrabhishekam

A powerful and sacred ritual dedicated to Lord Shiva. The abhishekam is performed using holy ingredients like milk, ghee, honey, curd, and pure water while chanting the sacred Sri Rudram and Chamakam.
This ritual removes negativity, calms planetary doshas, and brings health, peace, and strength. Performing Rudrabhishekam on Masa Shivaratri is believed to multiply the benefits manifold and cleanse all sins.

2. Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Kalyanam

A divine wedding ceremony of Lord Narasimha Swamy and Goddess Lakshmi, symbolizing harmony, protection, and prosperity. Participating in this ritual is believed to remove marriage-related issues, attract peace in family life, and bestow wealth and happiness.
It signifies the union of strength and compassion — the balance of divine masculine and feminine energies.

3. Karthika Deepotsavam

The lighting of lamps during Karthika Masam represents the victory of light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance.
Participating in the Deepotsavam is said to destroy past sins, bring enlightenment, and fill homes with divine energy and positivity. Each lamp lit in devotion to Shiva and Vishnu radiates spiritual power that blesses every devotee and their family.

4. Special Spiritual Significance

* Worshipping Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu together balances the energies of creation and dissolution, ensuring harmony in life.
* The coincidence of Swathi Nakshatram and Masa Shivaratri is extremely rare — considered a day of divine convergence.
* Devotees who participate in these rituals gain blessings equivalent to visiting sacred temples like Kashi, Tirupati, and Srisailam on the same day.
* The rituals promote inner peace, family well-being, financial stability, and spiritual enlightenment.
